For the Pot-Luck Lunch, bring a dish to pass along with your table setting.

For Market Day, members can bring items to sell – fiber related, food, plants, etc.  Non-members may also bring items, but need to pay a $20 fee to the guild.

October

Saturday October 23rd, 10:00am – 2:00pm: Heritage Breed Study – Columbia

Guild members will receive 3 oz of Columbia fiber to spin. Bring your spinning wheel or spindle to try out this conservation heritage breed.  We will all spin it together and have an open discussion on how we spun it, the characteristics of our yarns, our impressions of the fiber and ideas for projects.  You might also want to bring a niddy-noddy and a couple of extra bobbins, in case you want to make different test samples.

Saturday-Sunday October 9-10th: Little York Fall Fiber Arts Festival

Friday-Sunday October 29th-31st: Empire Alpaca Association Showtacular

November

Saturday Nov 20th, 10:00am – 2:00pm: Charity Knit and Crochet

Bring your knitting needles and crochet hooks, patterns and yarn to craft items for local charities.  Yarn should be acrylic or a very washable wool blend.  Another option is to bring completed items to donate.  Cold weather is coming and hats, scarves, mittens, etc are very much needed and appreciated by our less fortunate neighbors.

December

Saturday Dec 18th, 10:00am – 2:00pm: Holiday Party

Bring your spinning, knitting, crocheting, etc for a relaxing break from the hectic holidays. Bring treats to share with the group if you are so inclined along with your lunch and coffee mug.
